IFS Implementation – Operations and Development Project Lead

Workstream lead for the operations and development modules of the IFS reimplementation. This will include experience of areas such as logistics, MRP, capacity planning. Expectation of being the subject matter expert in the Operations and Development processes and applications domain.

Requirements:

• Be the subject matter expert in the Operations and Development processes and applications domain.
• Resolve process and systems problems and deliver requests for change.
• Analyse current state IFS processes in conjunction with business users and create ‘best practise’ process maps for each major activity.
• Perform systems validation and user acceptance testing in conjunction with business users as required.
• Prepare ‘How to’ guides and other training materials.
• Provide process and application coaching/training to super-user/user community.
• Plan and perform project tasks including those at cut-over as needed, including but not limited to technical tasks such as data mapping, loading and reconciliation, business process verification and systems integration testing.
• Provide point of contact for business super-users/users after go-live and provide hands-on support as appropriate alongside colleagues and software vendors following ITIL processes.
• Develop and maintain plans to address incidents and service requests, directing business users and third parties, maintaining an issues and risk log, and ensuring these are cleared or mitigated and ensuring timely stakeholder communication.
• Perform post-implementation reviews and work with business users and third parties as necessary to ensure project benefits are achieved.
• Maintain a current knowledge of applications solutions in their area of expertise.
• Communicate opportunities, plans, process changes and application features to business users as necessary to broaden understanding and promote continuous improvement.

• Working with the Super users, set up bespoke lobbies for each of the Operations/Dev Functions so ’visual management’ of agreed KPIs can be applied from cut-over.
• Develop the shopfloor data collection system (Labour reporting) and material control movement using the IFS bar-coding module.
• Liaise with the departmental heads with Operations and Development to ensure the necessary system reports are available for the Team.
• Take an active part in the regular IFS project meetings chaired by the SSG IFS Implementation Project Manager and external Cedar Bay Consultant
• Provide regular feedback to the wider Operations/Dev team on progress to date.

Skills/Experience:
• Project Management and Process Mapping Skills
• Must be capable of being able to produce a Gannt Chart with detailed milestones.
• Detailed knowledge of IFS v.7.5
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools
• Experience of organising and analysing data to support decision-making using common Microsoft tools.
• Advanced Spreadsheet Skills
• Good research and analytical skills
• Understanding of common business processes
• Appreciation of technology as a driver for change
• Good analytical / problem-solving skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Able to operate independently or as part of a team, and still being accountable.
• Good communication and influencing skills, both verbal & written
