We’re proud to be able to support two local charities.
2020 marks 10 years since Static Systems
Group started to support the Midlands Air Ambulance based at RAF Cosford, and
Wolverhampton’s Compton Hospital.
Midlands
Air Ambulance
Midlands Air Ambulance provides medical support to a population in
excess of 6 million. Since the charity began in 1991 they have carried out over
60,000 missions, with their 3 air ambulances being called out on average 6
times per day; this makes Midlands Air Ambulance one of the busiest air
ambulance services in the UK.
Each air ambulance mission costs on average £2,500 and as a
charity that does not receive funding from the government, Midlands Air
Ambulance relies on donations to ensure that they can carry out their
life-saving work.

Compton
Hospice
Compton Hospice in Wolverhampton, provides clinical and support
services for people with life limiting illnesses, their carers and their
families. Patients are given support emotionally,
psychologically and spiritually, as well as having their physical
symptoms eased. This treatment helps them live fulfilling lives at home for as
long as possible.
The services are available free-of-charge to a catchment area of
1.3 million. Compton Hospice receives a small fund from the government, which
covers around a third of their annual costs; so they heavily rely on donations
to ensure that their patient services can continue.

Static Systems’ managing director,
Adrian Turner comments: “It was such a difficult decision to decide on which
charities to support; there are so many worthy causes. We feel that selecting
the Midlands Air Ambulance and Compton Hospice has been a good balance,
providing as they do, such wonderful and much needed services to our community.
I think they are both causes that our employees, clients and suppliers can
relate to.
“We are very happy and proud to be
able to play a small part towards helping to fund their costs, to ensure that
these valuable services continue to be available.”
