Officer Protection

Custodial officers are exposed to unique workplace hazards within a controlled prison environment. With guards required to protect the lives of inmates and generally keep order, they must break up fights and attend to other threats, putting themselves at risk of serious physical injury.

Providing a general alarm system is one of a number of safety measures that can be put in place to reduce risk and provide assistance to officers in danger.
