LPS104 Auditor (Inspector)

Job Description:

Provide audit inspection/audit function for fire alarm systems in health care custodial or any other environment where SSG installs these systems. This audit/inspection role can cover any element of the value stream covering initial survey, first, second fix, installation, and commissioning phases of a project. Provide proactive and problem support to ensure identified non-conformances are effectively managed to resolution via robust corrective action. Make a positive contribution to the company and its products through their work ethic, expertise, quality of work and willingness to learn and help in a wide range of tasks.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure Fire Alarm Systems have been designed, installed, and commissioned in line with the requirements of the Loss prevention standard LPS1014.
  • Function as the prime contact for the certification boy ensuring any changes to the requirements are communicated promptly to the business. In addition to providing training where required and maintaining required documentation updates in line with regulatory and SSG requirements.
  • Develop and implement audit schedules to align with project deliverables including installation and commissioning process stage audits.
  • Maintain and control accurate LPS1014 documentation which is either site or project specific ensuring SSG full compliance to requirements.
  • Provide support where required as an internal resource for fire alarm systems design.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve SSG installed fire alarm systems compliance to LPS1014 requirements.
  • Manage and update personal workload.
  • Research and identify innovative technologies for the LPS104 inspection/audit process.
  • Conduct any other reasonable management requests in line with business needs.
  • Provide training where applicable in BS5839 & HTM standards for the internal SSG team.

Qualifications:

  • FIA Fundamentals in FD& A Units 1&2
  • HTM05-03 Part B training
  • Internal Management Systems Auditor ISO9001:2015
  • FD&A Fire Alarm design fundamentals
  • FD&A Electrical Competency

Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a compliance role.
  • Fire Alarm Design, Installation and Commissioning
  • Working knowledge of LPS104, BS5839&htm standards
  • Fully conversant with Micro Soft Office applications

  • Full clean driving licence
  • DBS clearance
