External Sales Engineer – Southeast
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sales Engineer to support our South East Account Manager, focusing on the South East region, including Central London. This newly created role, the Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in driving sales and providing technical support for our Nurse Call, Fire Alarm, and Fusion Software products. This role requires a strong commercial mindset and extensive experience in designing fire alarm system infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Sales Support:
• Work in collaboration with the South East Account Manager in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
• Provide technical expertise during the sales process, including product demonstrations and presentations
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors
Technical Support:
• Design and develop critical alarm system infrastructure tailored to client specifications
• Understand and support software implementation related to Nurse Call and Fire Alarm
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine client needs and system requirements
• Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations, including tender responses
Client Engagement:
• Attend site meetings to discuss technical and sales aspects of projects
• Address client inquiries and provide prompt, accurate technical support
• Collaborate with clients to ensure seamless project execution and satisfaction
Internal Collaboration:
• Work closely with internal sales teams to align on strategies and objectives
• Coordinate with the aftersales service team to ensure ongoing client support and maintenance
• Partner with the project delivery team to ensure timely and efficient project completion
Project Management:
• Oversee the technical aspects of project implementation
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise during installation and commissioning
Skills / Experience:
• Proven experience in the design and implementation of fire alarm systems
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on sales and customer satisfaction
• Excellent technical knowledge of Nurse Call systems and Fusion Software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Good understanding of software implementation processes and best practices
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel within the South East region, including Central London
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (desirable)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar sales or technical support role
• Certifications in fire alarm systems design and installation (BS5839/HTM05-03) are highly desirable
