With regard to Brexit and the potential impact of this on the supply of goods and materials from Static Systems Group, you will appreciate, in common with other UK based manufacturers and service providers, until such time as the government confirm agreements and arrangements for trading post Brexit we are unable to be specific in terms of detail. In the meantime we confirm the following.
Where possible we have traditionally sourced the majority of our materials from UK suppliers and as such the supply of these items will remain unaffected. We do through necessity source some materials, principally electronic components, from overseas. These are by majority manufactured in the Far East and are sometimes shipped into the UK via European based distribution hubs. In the event of a ‘no deal’ Brexit we do anticipate some potential disruption to the supply of these components as distributors await tariff and other arrangements to be confirmed. In anticipation of this we have strengthened our stocking levels and pre-ordering arrangements for such items. As a result of this we carry, on average stocks of most critical component parts 6-12 months in advance of anticipated requirements.
In addition all current known and confirmed project demands and requirements have components, materials and stock already allocated and secured through our stock control and management system. As a result of this we remain confident that any resultant disruption to our customers both for project requirements and routine or reactive service should be unaffected.
We will of course continue to monitor the situation as the UK enters formal transition arrangements.
