Good Hope Hospital, Cedarwood Ward
Working with the project consultant and design team, Static Systems proposed a solution that allowed the nurse call system in Good Hope Hospital’s 24-bed, elderly care Cedarwood Ward to be replaced within budget and with minimum disruption.
Static Systems’ wireless nurse call solution was provided, comprising: 40 call units within bedrooms, WC's and patient lounges, 3 LCD touch-screen staff indicators and a signal repeater, together with a central power supply unit to reduce the number of 24V spurs that would be required.
Features of the system included:
- Patient-to-staff nurse call
- Staff-to-staff emergency call
An 8-way switch linked all nurse call equipment to the Local Area Network (LAN).
Although Static Systems’ wireless solution is designed to be installed by a Trust's own teams, the company did on this occasion install and commission the system to assist with the requirement for a 24Volt feed.
System: Aspire SmartSync® wireless nurse call solution connected to the Local Area Network (LAN).
Number of endpoints: 40.
