Environmental Policy

Static Systems Group PLC design, manufacture, install, service and maintain advanced alarm systems, which are employed mainly in public buildings. All of these operations are carried out at, or controlled from, the sole premises in Wombourne, Staffordshire. Therefore this policy applies to all activities undertaken by the Organisation to which we hold full control.

The Organisation and Senior Management recognise that the activities undertaken play a part in the interaction with the environment and are therefore committed to minimising adverse impacts and improving process efficiency as far as is reasonably practicable.

This will be achieved through our commitment to:

• Complying with all applicable environmental legislation and other relevant requirements to which we subscribe.
   
• Reviewing periodically the actual and potential environmental aspects and impacts related to our activities,
  including those which could affect our local community.

• Committing to continual improvements in environmental performance through setting achievable objectives
  and targets.

• Employing best practice to prevent pollution, minimise waste and maximise the efficient use of resources
  (materials, fuel and energy).

• Identifying and managing key risks and having sufficient arrangements in place to respond to all
  foreseeable incidents and emergencies.

• Encouraging employee involvement with our environmental programmes and providing sufficient
  environmental training.

Everyone is responsible for the environment and the Organisation recognises the importance of consulting with and communicating to its employees, customers and suppliers to encourage their participation in environmental best practices. This consultation will provide the best framework to continuously improve our performance across the full spectrum of environmental issues.

Senior Management gives their full backing to this policy and supports everyone in helping to take better care of our planet.
