Local Charities Get Support From Static Systems Group
Wombourne-based Static Systems Group has chosen two locally based charities to support during 2010; the Midlands Air Ambulance based at RAF Cosford and Wolverhampton’s Compton Hospice.
Static Systems’ managing director, Adrian Turner said: “It’s such a difficult decision to make when there are so many worthy causes. We felt that selecting the Midlands Air Ambulance and Compton Hospice was a good balance, providing as they do, such wonderful and much needed services to our community. I think they are both causes that our employees, clients and suppliers can relate to.
“We are very happy and proud to be able to play a small part towards helping to fund their costs,” explained Mr. Turner.
Midlands Air Ambulance serves the largest air ambulance region in the UK providing a service to a population in excess of 6 million. The charity carries out more than 3500 mercy missions each year making it one of the busiest in the UK. In the last 12 months, the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has attended 1048 road traffic accidents, responded to 175 industrial accidents, 432 sporting injuries, completed 100 emergency hospital transfers and airlifted 188 children.
