Convenient, cost-effective nurse call upgrade solution

With many hospitals still using legacy nurse call systems which are becoming increasingly difficult and costly to maintain, an HTM-compliant solution from Static Systems Group is allowing trusts to upgrade their systems with minimum disruption, whilst staying within tight budget constraints.

‘Fusion-IP Codem’ provides modern functional equipment with a wide range of ‘apps’ as well as the option to connect into the site LAN. It is also fully compatible with other systems in the Fusion-IP family.

Recognising that it is not always possible to simply close down a ward during installation, the Codem system allows the original containment to be re-used with either existing or new wiring depending on cable condition and facilities required.

The upgrade solution can therefore be installed on ‘live’ wards, and has more than halved the traditionally expected installation time.  Many of the usual issues of noise, dust and inconvenience associated with a conventional nurse call system upgrade are avoided.

As part of its service, Static Systems will survey the existing system, discuss a suitable work programme, and provide a condition report to support a business case for funding.

Nurse call facilities, included as standard, allow for patient-to-nurse call and staff-to-staff emergency call with follow-the-light.  Additional levels of call can be incorporated for cardiac alarm, patient/disabled WC, drugs cupboard, etc.

Additional benefits include: the latest RNIB-endorsed waterproof patient hand unit with five year warranty, and reduced maintenance costs alongside a two year system warranty.

In addition to converting Static Systems’ equipment, the upgrade path can be applied to a range of systems from other manufacturers.  Download further information at www.staticsystems.co.uk/fusion-ip-legacy.pdf
