Specialist healthcare communication providers, Static Systems Group (stand No. 236) is showcasing the award-winning patient handsets which can be seen for the first time in the Republic, following successful launches in both the UK and internationally.

The distinctive handsets which have recently won a design excellence prize at the BDA Design Initiative Awards, were developed in consultation with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to ensure ease of use for the widest number of disabled people with impaired vision and other conditions.  In addition to ‘inclusive design’ features, the hand units are completely waterproof and an anti-microbial agent has been incorporated into the manufacturing process to assist with hospital hygiene and cleaning regimes.

The company, which has extensive experience of working on major PFI contracts within the acute healthcare sector, is also showing the latest innovations in nurse call systems and bedhead services trunking.
